KissMe Heroine Make

I already have many mascaras, but I couldn’t resist buying a Heroine Make mascara and a lash primer/base during my recent trip to Japan. One more mascara and a primer wouldn’t hurt, right? 😏

Heroine Make Curl Keep Mascara Base – 50 Fleur Violet

The Curl Keep Mascara Base is a lash primer or base that claims to keep the eyelashes curled for a day with its “Moment Lock” ingredient and “Shape-Memory Polymer.” It also contains fibers for length and volume.

I have the shade 50 Fleur Violet (in the US, it’s 50 Lavender). The formula seems a bit dry and sticky. Also, I hardly notice the color of the primer on my eyelashes, so I can hardly tell if I get to evenly coat my eyelashes with it.

However, there is a difference when I use it vs when I don’t. I don’t even need to curl my lashes. The mascara base already lifts it, and it stays that way for hours. This base even adds length to my eyelashes when I use the Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara Advanced Film. Noice. 😁

The Curl Keep Mascara Base contains six kinds of essence: Camellia Oil, Royal Jelly Extract, Argan Oil, Wild Rose Oil, Panthenol, and Ginseng Root Extract (eyelash protection ingredient).

Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara Advanced Film – Black

While searching for reviews on the Volume & Curl Mascara Advanced Film, I mostly came across the lengthening variant instead. That seems to be more popular and preferred, but I prefer volume over length.

I’m glad I purchased the mascara because my supposed current daily mascara smudges. It easily smudges more during the summer when my face is oilier and sweaty (from the heat). The Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara Advanced Film never ever smudges, even on my oily eyelids, as it claims. I like that it also lifts my eyelashes, meaning I can skip curling.

Sometimes, it makes my eyelashes clumpy, which I don’t mind. But pointing it out here for those thinking of purchasing yet might have issues with clumping.

Since I use a Face Halo, wet with only water, it takes me long to remove the mascara. Well, after all, it’s supposed to be resistant to water but can be removed with just facial soap. I haven’t tried that, nor with my current oil makeup remover, but I did get the Heroine Make Speed Mascara Remover, which is a miracle worker. It has cut my makeup removal time by 95%. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

The mascara also contains essences: Camellia Oil, Royal Jelly Extract, Argan Oil, and Wild Rose Oil (Wild Rose Fruit Extract).

Application

I’ve always heard positive reviews about KissMe’s Heroine Make eyelash products, especially the mascara. I had not tried them until now because I already had (and still have) so many mascaras, and I found these were sold here a little more expensive than they should be. However, after trying these, it seems the slightly higher cost is worth it. Suddenly, I feel like I’ve wasted money buying drugstore mascaras. πŸ˜… (Only drugstore because I still like my expensive ones.)
