Review: Rouge Dior Floral Care Lip Balm in Diornatural

I’m on the goal of using up my Dior Addict Lip Glow Pomade, but Dior decides to release the Rouge Dior Floral Care Lip Balm in Diornatural. I always find it hard to resist anything new from Dior beauty.

Description

The Rouge Dior Floral Care Lip Balm in 000 Diornatural is Dior’s latest lip care. Since it’s under the Rouge Dior range, it also has a refill variant. I already have a refillable Rouge Dior lipstick case/tube, but I prefer a separate one for this. ?

Rouge Dior presents its 1st lip balm with a formula concentrated in peony and pomegranate flower extracts, for more beautiful lips day after day. Composed of 95% ingredients of natural origin* and enriched with soothing lip care, the Rouge Dior lip balm ensures 24h of hydration.**

Harnessing the power of double floral care, it beautifies the lips with a universal shade and leaves them naturally satiny. It can be used alone as a lip balm or under the Rouge Dior lipstick as a primer for added comfort.

Review

Diornatural has a transparent, satin finish. I really like its thin, lightweight, and non-greasy formula, but sometimes, it makes me feel like it hardly lasts long on the lips. The good news is, it just feels that way. The lip balm stays put even after several sips of a drink, let’s say. Well, even if it’s gone, I don’t feel the urgent need to reapply, unlike most lip balms I’ve used. It does keep my lips hydrated.

The lip balm works great as a primer. When my lips suddenly flake or peel, usually due to dehydration, it easily and painlessly removes the dry skin and readies my lips for lipstick. If I don’t feel like wearing lipstick, I’m okay with just the lip balm. My lips don’t look pale, even if the lip balm is just transparent. Magic, haha!

The lip balm has a mild floral scent, but it’s too mild that I quickly forget it’s scented.

I have also been using it in my evening skincare routine. It’s nice to wake up without greasy lips.

The Rouge Dior Floral Care Lip Balm claims to improve the lips “with a universal shade and leaves them naturally satiny.” If I remember correctly, the Lip Glow Pomade and Lip Maximizer claim the same, and they did make my lips look better and hydrated. So far, I like how my lips look with just the lip balm.

Will I repurchase?

As long as Dior keeps Diornatural available or won’t release any other lip balm, I’ll continue to repurchase it. But maybe after I use up one or two of my backups of other lip balms first.
