Review: Rouge Dior Forever Liquid 200 Forever Dream

The Rouge Dior Forever Liquid is one of Dior’s recent releases for their makeup line. Among the 11 available (and permanent) shades, I picked 200 Forever Dream. I was attracted to it because it’s not pink nor red. It’s a nude medium-brown with a hint of orange.

Description

Rouge Dior Forever Liquid is Dior’s 1st ultra-pigmented, liquid lipstick that doesn’t transfer in vibrant, ultra-matte colors. With optimal coverage and striking color, the liquid lipstick won’t settle into lip lines, fade, smudge, or feather.

Rouge Dior Forever Liquid pushes the limits of long wear with an ultra-lightweight formula. With no heavy makeup effect and the comfort of a bare-lip feel, the color of this transfer-proof lipstick coats the lips with a seemingly flexible, weightless film and unprecedented* vibrant color. Rouge Dior Forever Liquid matte lipstick ensures optimal coverage for 12 hours** without compromising comfort, no matter the stresses of day-to-day life.

Review

One thing I often heard about this liquid lipstick is it is truly transfer-proof, which is why I had to get one. After several uses of 200 Forever Dream, here’s my review:

Rouge Dior Forever Liquid applicator

✓ The liquid lipstick feels comfortable and lightweight, so expectedly, it’s non-drying as well.

✓ It has a petal-shaped flocked applicator. The pointed tip and thin edges are great to line the lips. It has a reservoir, so there’s no need to double-dip to get more product.

✓ It applies evenly and could be layered without resulting in flaking or feeling very dry and heavy on the lips.

✓ Once it sets, it becomes transfer-proof. Well, at least it doesn’t transfer to a face mask or glass/mug.

✓ It won’t come off easily even after a couple of drinks, except only after a meal. But reapplication is easy anyway.

✓ I never experienced any smudging (especially in instances when I eat a sandwich or burger). It doesn’t settle into lip lines and doesn’t feather.

Comparing the Rouge Dior Ultra Care Liquid with the Rouge Dior Forever Liquid, I prefer the latter because of the lightweight and transfer-proof formula. I still would recommend both. It just comes to what I feel using on a particular day.

I’m glad I have another transfer-proof liquid lipstick that I can use under a face mask but is also not drying. I might get another shade or two (since I’m interested in getting the iconic 999) if Dior releases a limited edition shade. 😋
