Gave the Heimish All Clean Balm a try after several friends recommended it. 🙂 It was also my first Korean cleansing balm and makeup remover.
Description and Ingredients
The Heimish All Clean Balm is a vegan, hypoallergenic all-in-one makeup remover with a mild herbal scent. It is free from parabens, sulfates, and alcohol. The cleansing balm comes in 50 ml and 120 ml. I’m not sure if both sizes include a spatula for hygienic application, but mine did, so there’s no need to dip your fingers directly into the balm.
Heimish also claims that the cleansing balm contains ingredients with acne-fighting and anti-aging benefits.
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-8 ISOSTEARATE, Shea Butter, Donkey Milk, Cocos Nucifera Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia Fruit Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Jasminum Officinale Extract, Lilium Tigrinum Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Extract, Nelumbium speciosum, Narcissus, Rose Extract, Citrus aurantium dulcis, Lavender Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Citrus Paradisi Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Tea tree leaf oil, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Boswellia Carterii Oil,Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, 1, 2-Hexanediol
According to Skincarisma, the cleansing balm contains a few ingredients that people with oily or sensitive skin may want to watch out for. Shea Butter and Ethylhexyl Palmitate are considered comedogenic, while Lavender Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Citric Acid, and Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil may cause irritation for those with sensitive skin.
Review
I find it quite relaxing using this after a long day with makeup on. 🙂 I scoop a moderate amount, about the size of a 25-centavo coin, and massage it all over my face. I spend a little more time on my eyelids and lashes since I usually wear waterproof eye makeup. As the balm warms from the heat of my hands, it gradually melts into an oil. Before fully working it into my skin, I dampen my palms slightly and continue massaging the balm to emulsify it.
Everything is removed after washing without leaving any residue, including makeup or the oily feeling of the cleansing balm.

I wasn’t into its herbal scent first, but it gradually grew on me.
One thing I noticed is that the Heimish All Clean Balm melts quite easily inside the tub, especially in warm weather. Mine had already softened when I received it. Some people recommend storing it in the refrigerator, but I simply kept mine at room temperature and it eventually firmed up again.

The only other cleansing balm I have used is the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, which I really like. Both effectively and thoroughly removes makeup. If budget is a priority, I would consider the Heimish All Clean Balm. That said, I personally prefer the lighter texture of Clinique’s cleansing balm. Heimish’s formula feels a bit thicker, and I suspect it may likely clog my pores.

Availability
The Heimish All Clean Balm is available on Shopee. I recommend purchasing from the KbeautyCafe. 🙂
It is also available at Heimish’s US website.
