The Dior Prestige La Lotion Essence De Rose is my current as well as my first expensive and luxurious lotion/toner. 🙂
Description
La Lotion Essence de Rose is the fundamental prelude to the Dior Prestige beauty ritual. Enriched with micro-reviving Rose Water, it encourages the circulation of intercellular flows and revives the complexion’s radiance. Its milky-watery texture combines the invigorating freshness of Rose Water with the comforting softness of milk. Plumped with moisture, the skin glows, revealing an exquisite rose-toned complexion.
The lotion comes in a glass bottle, making it impractical to bring on travels. It also has a pump. Typical of Dior Prestige skincare, its cap and its label is of golden color, even its pump. It’s the most luxurious-looking skincare on my vanity.
Using the Dior Prestige La Lotion Essence de Rose
I use the La Lotion Essence de Rose after double-cleansing. I use three pumps-worth of lotion, patting it directly all over my face and neck. (It works better this way than using a cotton pad with it, I was told.)
It has a thin milky-watery consistency that takes longer than usual to sink in the skin. So while I wait for it to fully absorb, I massage my eye area with an eye cream or eye oil.
Review
At first, I wasn’t impressed with the lotion because it hardly made any difference to my skin. It didn’t seem like it hydrated enough my very dehydrated skin. I’ve always wondered about its benefits, but I only researched when I had to post in my IG account.
I eventually noticed my skin looked better, as in youthful-looking. The fine lines near the outer corners of my eyes and, most especially, my smile lines aren’t noticeable anymore.
The lotion has a mild rose scent, which I wasn’t a fan of at first, but it grew on me.
5 February 2021 update: The La Lotion Essence de Rose is still in my evening skincare routine, but I already used more than half the bottle. I’ve been enjoying it more since my initial review. It is hydrating and has kept my skin looking more youthful. I like how it makes me feel luxurious each time I use it. 🙂
However, it is still too pricey to maintain it in my routine, despite that it worked on my skin. Maybe I will repurchase, but not an option for me at the moment. I’m just glad I got to experience using it. 🙂
