Review: Dior Capture Youth Intense Rescue

I’ve been using the Dior Capture Youth Intense Rescue for months now. At this point, I can truly say it has become my most favorite among the Dior skincare I tried. 🙂

Review

Intense Rescue is an oil-serum, which Dior claims to be unlike any other. It doesn’t have a greasy finish and absorbs faster than a regular oil.

I think it was only last month that I started using it twice a day since the quarantine fucked up my skin, likely due to stress. My face gets bumps, a pimple or two, or it gets very oily. Even with my usual skincare routines, my skin doesn’t get better quicker unless I use the oil-serum. It’s also why I love using it when I travel as my skin reacts to “foreign conditions” or environment changes. 😛

The Intense Rescue is moisturizing, very much so for my dehydrated skin. My face doesn’t get oily as much that, in turn, greatly reduces the appearance of pimples even when it’s that time of the month. 🙂 It also makes my skin supple and radiant.
I only use it on target areas, particularly on the t-zone or where I get skin problems, and, even with only a pea-sized amount, it’s almost enough for the whole face.

I would have already bought a backup, but I got another Dior serum instead (the new Capture Totale Cell Energy). 😛 Anyway, I will surely re-purchase this once I’m out of my serum backups. 🙂

If you have similar skin concerns, I highly recommend the Capture Youth Intense Rescue. I know it’s pricey, but it takes months to use up anyway. You can also test it in a Dior boutique or ask for a sample before purchasing.

Ingredients

The Intense Rescue’s key ingredients are Argan oil. Tamanu oil, and Iris Florentina. Argan oil is nourishing, Tamanu oil strengthens the skin’s barrier, while Iris Florentina is an antioxidant that helps maintain youthfulness. 🙂
