I get second thoughts when purchasing eye creams because I usually get texture or bumps under my eyes after some time of use. It sucks when there are so many I would like to try, but I have to restrain myself, or I might regret it.
But I gave Ole Henriksen Truth Banana Bright Eye Creme a try. To be honest, my favorite beauty influencer, who I have a similar skin type, uses it. 🙂 Also, my skin is “friends” with Vitamin C. I had expectations that will not fuck up my undereye area.
I also ran out of eye cream, which is actually a surprise since I always keep a backup or two. Hmm…

Anyway, moving on to the review. 🙂

Inspired by the makeup artist must-have—“banana powder”—this sunny yellow brightening eye cream contains special pigments to instantly brighten and color-correct the eye area. But that’s not all: It creates a smooth, well-rested canvas and is proven to improve concealer wear.
The eye cream has a thin consistency with a slight radiant finish that is not tacky nor feels oily. It works for all skin types (even sensitive), but I can imagine those with dry skin under their eyes enjoying this.
A full-size jar is 15ml. There is a smaller variant at 7ml available in Ole Henriksen sets.
The first time I used the eye cream, I put on too much. My eye makeup and concealer under the eyes became a mess. I guess I should have waited more for it to totally dry down, but who has time for skincare to set in the mornings? LOL! After that, I just use a small amount, mainly on the darkest area. Then, with what’s left of the product, around the eyes.
In just a few days of using it, I already like it. 🙂 It’s the most hydrating I’ve used so far. My makeup rarely settles or creases under my eyes anymore. Even those drying concealers go on great!
Availability
The Ole Henriksen Truth Banana Bright Eye Creme is available to purchase from the official website and Sephora US (where I got mine). It retails for $38. I haven’t checked where to buy locally, but we might get lucky with online resellers in Shopee or Instagram sellers who do pasabuys.
