Since I emptied the BeautiControl Facial Spa Defend and Restore Moisture Creme SPF20, I switched back to the Leejiham 5 Alpha Control Cream. I’ve used this a few times before, but I decided to finish my older morning moisturizer first.
The 5 Alpha Control Cream (now called the Hope 5 Alpha Control Cream) was the first Korean moisturizer I ever tried. I was curious about it, especially because of its oil- and shine-control claims.

Leejiham 5 Alpha Control Cream Description and Use
Lightweight mineral oil-free technology with patented special formula of LGH is combined together to provide the optimal oil and shine control effect. It is a strongly recommended cream for those who have shiny skin surface but dehydrated inside. (a good moisturizing cream for oily skin types)

The key ingredients include Witch Hazel, which helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, which soothes the skin and helps calm acne.
Review
The moisturizer is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind a greasy feeling or any residue. I only use it in the morning because I love that it doesn’t interfere with my makeup, and I prefer a richer moisturizer for my evening routine.
When I switched back to the BeautiControl moisturizer to use it up first, I found myself wanting to switch back almost immediately because this one keeps my face oil-free for hours.
The glass jar isn’t ideal for travel, even for short trips. Besides the risk of breaking in transit, it’s also quite heavy.
Availability
For clarification, the packaging changed when Leejiham rebranded to Leegeehaam. If you search for this moisturizer, you’ll most likely come across the newer packaging instead. As far as I know, the ingredients remain the same, but please let me know if that’s no longer the case.
