It’s about time I reviewed the Curél Intensive Moisture Facial Cream. I’m near to using up mine, which feels like the right time to share my thoughts. 🙂
I’ve been curious about Curél for while, especially when I kept seeing it whenever I went to Tokyo. I didn’t plan on getting a moiturizer because I still have several backups at home, but I had no choice when I realized I forgot to pack mine during one of my trips. (I used it before heading to the airport.) So this ended up somewhat of an impulsive purchase. 😅
The Moisture Facial Cream is marketed for dry, sensitive skin. It is lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin, and is said to leave the skin with a healthy glow.
Review
I’ve been using this moisturizer mainly in my morning skincare routine. Because of its thin, lightweight consistency, it sinks into the skin quickly without feeling greasy. This makes it easy to layer under sunscreen and makeup. It’s also fragrance-free and alcohol-free. The product comes in a 40 g tub, which is quite travel-friendly.
However, as someone with dehydrated skin, I found that it wasn’t moisturizing enough. Maybe if I applied more generously? But that would mean I’d run out of moisturizer in probably a week given the small size of the tub. As for the claim “healthy glow,” I didn’t really notice, but it’s not that big of a deal for me since I can still achieve that effect when I apply sunscreen or a glowy primer.
Overall, the Curél Intensive Moisture Cream feels like a good option for those with normal to slightly dry, sensitive skin. I can appreciate its formulation and ease of use, but for dehydrated skin like mine, it didn’t perform as I’d hoped. Sadly, it isn’t something I see myself repurchasing. That said, I still wouldn’t rule out trying other Curél products in the future. 🙂
