Body sunscreen is essential for me because I walk to work everyday. Although there are many sunscreens available in the market, finding a big bottle or can of sunscreen that doesn’t remind me of the beach (if you know what I mean) can be a bit difficult. When I discovered the Trader Joe’s Spray Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+, I made sure to stay well-stocked, especially since it costs an unbeatable price of $5.99 for the amount of product you get.

The water-resistant Trader Joe’s Spray Sunscreen provides UVA & UVB protection and contains aloe, vitamin E, and coconut oil. It claims to provide 80 minutes of water resistance.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Avobenzone 3.0%; Homosalate 15.0%; Octisalate 5.0%; Octocrylene 8.0%

Inactive Ingredients: Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Diisopropyl Adipate, Fragrance, SD Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate.

The sunscreen is PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid)-free and oxybenzone- and octinoxate-free.

The Trader Joe’s Spray Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ only comes in a 6 oz can and, as mentioned, retails for $5.99.

I have been a longtime user of this sunscreen, and it has kept me from getting easily sunburned during my daily morning walks to work. What I like most about this sunscreen is the spray:

• It makes applying sunscreen much quicker. I can spray it directly onto my arms and legs instead of spending time dispensing and spreading lotion.
• It sprays evenly. The sunscreen covers my arms and legs quite well, so I only need to spread it around a bit to make sure my exposed skin is properly covered.
• It has a twist-lock mechanism, which helps prevent accidental sprays when I carry it in my bag.

Additionally, the sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast. It has a mild scent that doesn’t linger, either. There is a bit of tackiness upon application, but it goes away after a while.

Overall, the Trader Joe’s Spray Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ has become a staple in my daily routine. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t leave a white cast, and offers good sun protection without feeling too heavy or sticky. At $5.99, the price is also hard to beat. My only problem with this sunscreen, sort of, is it is not available locally. Amazon has it, but unfortunately, it can’t be shipped to the Philippines. So whenever I visit Virginia or my parents come over, I make sure a few cans make their way here. 😁
