A friend and I briefly talked about themed cafes, which we believe are currently non-existent in Metro Manila. It made me think back to whether I’d been to any in Tokyo, and yes, I have. 🙂 Just one, if memory serves.

PEANUTS Cafe SUNNY SIDE kitchen

Themed cafes aren’t usually high on my list of places to see in Japan, but I wanted Snoopy merchandise from the country, knowing it would be unique.

There are several Snoopy stores in Japan, one of which is the PEANUTS Cafe SUNNY SIDE kitchen in Harajuku. Since it’s quite close to @cosme, which I always visit whenever I’m in Tokyo, the cafe was an easy addition to my Harajuku itinerary. 🙂

The PEANUTS Cafe SUNNY SIDE kitchen has both indoor and outdoor seating and offers a wide variety of food, from full meals to light snacks.

Right by the entrance is a selection of Peanuts merchandise, and it took a lot of self-restraint not to buy them all. 😂 My mother and I ended up getting matching towel handkerchiefs. Whenever possible, I like to pick up souvenirs that are practical and useful. 😁

Like other themed cafes, or even Starbucks, they have cute seasonal items. 🥲

I would have suggested we sit outside, since the Snoopy stuffed toys on the outdoor tables were too cute to resist, but it was fall, which meant the sun would be setting early. Another memorable thing about this cafe is its restroom, located outside, behind the building. If I remember right, I had to ask for access. I’m glad I brought my phone with me, because the door felt like a vault, and I sort of locked myself inside, haha. Anyway, both the cafe and the restroom are wheelchair-accessible, despite what it says on the Google Maps listing.
